Pioneering a Robust and Effective Skill Development Ecosystem for India's Water & Plumbing Sector!

Water Management & Plumbing Skill Council (WMPSC), a National level awarding body and a Sector Skill Council dedicated to advancing skills within the Water and Plumbing Industry. Established under the National Council for Vocational Education & Training (NCVET) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), WMPSC is a pivotal initiative by the Government of India's Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE).

Our mission is to bridge the skill gap in the water and plumbing sector, ensuring a steady supply of highly competent professionals. We strive to elevate industry standards, foster innovation, and create sustainable career pathways for the Indian workforce. By aligning with Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision to transform India into a global hub for skilled manpower, WMPSC is committed to excellence in vocational training and skill development.

We achieve this through a comprehensive framework that includes the development of state-of-the-art training programs, strategic industry partnerships, and innovative skill development initiatives, all designed to enhance productivity and competitiveness in the plumbing and water management domain.

What We Do: Driving Skill Excellence

National Occupational Standards (NOS)

We develop and update industry-validated National Occupational Standards, defining the benchmarks for performance and knowledge required for various job roles in the plumbing sector.

Curriculum & Content Development

Based on NOS, we design robust and industry-relevant training curricula, learning materials, and e-content for effective skill delivery.

Affiliation & Accreditation

We affiliate and accredit training providers and assessment agencies, ensuring adherence to quality standards and a conducive learning environment.

Assessment & Certification

We establish rigorous assessment mechanisms and provide industry-recognized certifications, enhancing employability and mobility of skilled professionals.

Trainer & Assessor Capacity Building

We conduct 'Training of Trainers' (ToT) and 'Training of Assessors' (ToA) programs to create a pool of qualified and certified instructors and evaluators.

Industry Engagement & Placements

We foster strong linkages with industry partners for skill gap identification, apprenticeships, and facilitating employment opportunities for certified candidates.
