About the Event
Plumbing Skills Mahotsav is the flagship event of Indian Plumbing Skills Council which aims to host all the plumbing fraternity from top to bottom under one roof for the purpose of enhancement of skills and exchange of knowledge. IPSC has hosted two editions of this esteemed event and has gained a lot of appreciation.

The apex skilling body of the Indian Plumbing Industry, IPSC (Indian Plumbing Skills Council) organized the mega event, “Plumbing Skills Mahotsav 2019” on 3rd February at Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi which was inaugurated by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the then Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. The event was attended by more than 12000 plumbers. Mahotsav 2019 saw active participation from 27 Organisations. Plumbing Skills Mahotsav also showcased range of advanced products, mega plumbers meets, educational seminars and job placement workshops by international & domestic brands likeHindware, Bathline, National Science Foundation (NSF), Watertec, Viega, Jain Plumbing, Acquaviva, Ori-Plast, Hepco, Rothenberger, Kitec, Parryware, Xylem, Ashirvad, Products Unlimited, Kranti Meters, George Ficher, Neoperl, Lubrizol, Jindal Stainless, Pidilite etc.
Highlights of the Event
- Mahotsav became a record holder in the Limca Book of Records for getting the most numbers of plumbers under one roof.
- Over 12000 Plumbers witnessed the event and got their hands on the latest trends and technology of the Industry.
- Plumber Konnect was launched in the event which is world’s first app that aims to bring certified plumbers closer to its users.
- Hon’ble Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan observed the importance of events like Mahotsav which serves as a bridge between the industry and plumbers.

I think IPSC should do such events every year or at least every alternate year. So far the initiatives to skill or educate the plumbers had been very commercial and were done by various manufacturers to promote their own products.

Plumbing Skills Mela 2016
On 22nd October 2016, Indian Plumbing Skills Council hosted India’s Largest Plumbing Skills Mela at NSIC complex in Okhla, New Delhi. Hon’ble Minister Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy was invited as the Chief Guest at the event. The event saw active participation from 16 organisations from the plumbing and related sectors as sponsors of the event. Over 1300 plumbers visited the event and witnessed the latest technologies and product being used in the industry. IPSC also felicitated 750 Plumbers with Govt of India and IPSC certifications. These plumbers went through recognition of prior learning (RPL) from the 5th till the 20th October.
Hon’ble minister was impressed with the efforts of the team and governing body members of IPSC and congratulated us on hosting such a grand event. He has also expressed that he would like to see 25,000 plumbers for the next event and promised that he would personally invite Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the same.
Mr SG Deolalikar was also invited as the Guest of honour, and was highly impressed to see the grandeur of the event.he also congratulated Mr RK Somany in putting up such a wonderful show and quoted ”In a career of over six decades, I have never seen so many plumbers at a time under one roof”.
